Quiet Sky
Quiet Sky is a new music project featuring Ottawa's Jeff and Pam Gleeson. Quiet Sky brings Pam’s unique indie folk songwriting style to the stage with Jeff’s natural vocals and creative guitar tones, to invoke a feeling that lingers in that wide open space where anything is possible. The mood is accessible and the lyrics are relatable. Quiet Sky aims to follow the trails laid out through the poetry of Joni Mitchell, the raw honesty of Lucinda Williams, the natural comfort of Sarah Harmer, and the grit of Neil Young.
A Quiet Sky is what we're all searching for. A clear path to the universe without all of the noise and interference. The songs Pam & Jeff create are meant to go straight to your heart - so that we can connect and feel something beautiful.
Music is the tool. Creation is the method. Love is the objective.

Quiet Sky is Pam & Jeff Gleeson
These two have been playing music together for over 20 years! Music is deeply rooted in their everyday lives, where they are partners and parents to two amazing teenagers. Pam & Jeff are well connected in the local Ottawa music community and have a genuine desire to create space and opportunity for musicians of all kinds to play and create together. They enjoy hosting friends and collaborators in their new home-based recording space.
Jeff has played with several Ottawa-area bands and projects including The Ethics, Cherie, Good Advice, Naviger and Jacob Two-Two.
Pam started a new music tradition in 2025 by supporting and facilitating the creation of an old-time Appalachian music festival in the Pontiac region of West Quebec called Ladysmith Oldtime Gathering.

Born into the Icelandic community in Manitoba, Canada, Lindy Vopnfjörd started his music career early. Singing traditional Icelandic songs with his family, both the cultural heritage and musician parents shaped this intuitive artist. By age four, Lindy was already pronouncing his “stand and care for the world” bent as an Icelandic-Canadian folk artist by singing cautionary songs against nuclear war. Traveling around by bus with his mom and dad and extended family, he developed an appreciation for performing as a form of sharing. Touring comes naturally to Lindy, and to see him live is to witness years of experience in honest delivery and authentic exchange with a dedication as real to a room of three as when he’s performing stadium-full. Lindy has performed sseven albums’ worth of originals that have mesmerized, delighted and moved audiences at house parties and bars to embassies, theatre halls with Canada’s Whitehorse, and large festivals, such as Montreal’s Osheaga, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Reykjavik Folk Festival, and Hillside Festival.

City Sounds Live is a free travelling music festival presented in partnership with BIAs and co-curators in various neighbourhoods around Ottawa. This show is presented in partnership with the Glebe BIA. We'll be playing a free show outdoors in the shady courtyard of Fourth Avenue Baptist church.
